I recently watched a documentary about journalist Helen Thomas and she talked about the media&#039;s role in politics and her belief that it&#039;s really the only institution that can hold a president accountable.  She went on to say that the media didn&#039;t do this during Bush&#039;s presidency, that they didn&#039;t ask the tough questions and that she believed it could have made a difference in the direction his leadership took, particularly in regard to the war in Iraq had the media put the pressure on him and demanded answers.

Sometimes there&#039;s little difference between news and entertainment.</description>
